Abstract

Based on summarizing the research progresses on the genetic improvement of conifers species at home and abroad,the achievements of Pinus massoniana study in Guizhou Province during recent 30 years in terms of provenance selection,plus tree selection,tree seed orchard construction,etc.were summarized.The current status and prospect of the germplasm preservation and utilization of P.massoniana were analyzed.And the objective and direction of the genetic improvement of P.massoniana in Guizhou in future were proposed.
