Research Progress on Genetic Improvement of Pinus yunnanensis and Breeding Tactics

A comprehensive summary of research on geographic variation and seed provenance trial,selection of elite stand and establishment of parent-stand,selection of elite trees and establishment of seed orchard etc.of Pinus yunnanensis were conduced on the basis of literature analysis.Some breeding tactics were put forward with respect to existing situation,especially the collection of genetic resources,study on genetic variation and genetic diversity,establishment of advanced seed orchards,improvement of seed orchard management and study of clonal selection.
