Expression of VEGF and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) in military patients with primary non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and Its clinical significance

Abstract

Objective To explore the expression level of VEGF,MMP-9 in military patients with primary non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods The expression of VEGF,MMP-9 protein was detected in 35 NSCLC tissues by immunochemistry.Results The positive rate of VEGF,MMP-9 protein expression in NSCLC tissues was 62.8%(22/35)and 77.1%(27/35),higher than those in normal lung tissue.The expression of VEGF,MMP-9 expression in NSCLC tissues of Ⅲ stage was significantly higher than that in NSCLC tissues ofⅠ、Ⅱstages(P0.05).The expression of VEGF,MMP-9 in NSCLC tissues with lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than those in NSCLC tissues of N0 group(P0.05).Conclusion The VEGF,MMP-9 expression are related to lymph node metastasis and TNM stages of lung cancer.VEGF,MMP-9 protein expression may beassociated with the invasion and progression of NSCLC.
