Abstract
This paper clarifies the issues such as Shahukou taxation at the border,the national administrative function,land and customs repair by studying 88 memorials to the throne of Shahukou customs in Qing Dynasty collected in the Palace Museum in Taipei,China.The economic status and significance of Shahukou in Qing Dynasty in China have been clearly expounded.
