Abstract
Objective—To study the method for realizing a digital circuit in EDA development system.Methods—In the Quartus environment,A 8-bit decimal digital frequency meter is designed by using VHDL and schematic input method.Results—When downloaded/configured to the target device of the experimental plate programmable in system,the expected design requirement is achieved by actual circuit testing and verification.Conclusion—Compared with traditional design method,the design scheme based on EDA technology boasts simple peripheral circuit,flexible program modification and easy debug mode;This frequency meter also is characteristic of wide measurement range,high accuracy as well as clear and intuitive reading.
