Abstract

This paper introduces the significance of cultivating the compound-type talents and the components of the specialized knowledge and the English knowledge that the compound-type talents should possess, analyzes on the present situation of and the problems existing in university English instruction, and puts forward the modes for carrying out the instructional reform and optimizing the talents cultivation.
