Abstract

During the past 30 years, the world media industry experiences some new changes, which is typified by the rapid development of the media industry and the enlarged gap between the developed and developing countries. The Chinese media industry has made rapid catch-up in the past 20 years. Under the new international and domestic situation, Chinese media confronts the important opportunities and great challenges. According to the new environments and new tasks, the author points out three opportunities and three challenges which Chinese media industry will confront in the future.
