Abstract

Objective:To study the relationship between HP infection and expression of PCNA、COX2 in gastric carcinoma. Methods: Hp was examined by WarthinStarry method, and PCNA,COX2 protein were examined immunohistochemically in 58 patients with gastric carcinoma,39 patients with other gastric mucosal lesions. Results: For gastric carcinoma, chronic gastritis, intraepithelial neoplasia, the positive expression rates of HP were 84.5% 、42.9% 、66.7% respectively;the PNCA were 86.2% 、47.6% 、72.2% respectively;the COX2 were 84.5% 、28.6% 、72.2% respectively. In the same pathological changes, the positive expression rates of PCNA、COX2 was higher in HP infection group than in HP negative group, while there was significant difference in gastric carcinama group (Fisher’s Exact Test:P=0.000;P=0.025). There was a positive correlation between the rate of PCNA expression and the rate of HP dectation (r=0. 521,P=0.000) in gastric carcinoma.COX2 expression was also positively corelated with HP infection(r=0. 342,P=0.009).Conclusion : The overexpression of PCNA 、COX2 and HP infection play an important role in the occurence and development of gastric carcinoma.
