Abstract

93 Frozen embryos of cattle of different breeds were introduced into Huzhu county from the Centre of Embryo engineeving of Xinjiang Hutubi Breeding Cattle Farm to explore the comception rate and calving survival rate of embryo transfer of cattle and the growth and development of their offsprings. These embryos of cattle were used to conduct the test of embryo transfer. The results showed that the average conception rate was 45.16% and the calving survival rate was 90.48%.The average initial weight of the calves of Holstein,Simmental Limousin and Angus breeds were 40.77,42.50,47.41 and 39.13kg which were increased 71.82%,79.10%,99.79% and 64.90% than that of native contemporary cattle, respectively;the everage weight of the calves at the age of six months were 116.74,123.36,134.15 and 120.49kg which were increased 64.80%,74.13%,89.37% and 70.09% than that of native contemporary cattle;the average weight of yearling cattle were 253.31,289.91,302.73 and 271.35kg which were increased 75.18%,100.51%,109.36% and 87.66% than that of native contemporary cattle, respectively;the average daily gain of yearling cattle were 582.30,677.84,699.50 and 636.22g.The growth and development of embryo transfer cattle was faster than that of native cattle.
