Abstract
The product technics and structure character on down-hole tools were studied, and the establishing method of digital model was put forward on Object Oriented, characteristic, parametric and modularization. Relying on 3-D molding software SolidWorks and visual programming tools Visual Basic 6.0, the virtual design and simulation platform on down-hole tools were exploited, which provided the basic operation and calculation from model building, model assembling, finite element analysis to model simulation on down-hole tools. Through the combination of the program’s centralization control ability, the database’s integration management and 3-D virtual design and simulation, the integration design and management of product model in the preliminary design stage of down-hole tools were realized.
