The relationship between the expression of Bax and Bcl-2 in non-small-cell lung cancer

Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of Bax and Bcl-2 in non-small-cell lung cancer.Methods The expression of Bax and Bcl-2 were detected in 80 NSCLC samples by immunohistochemistry(S-P).Results ①The expression level of Bax and Bcl-2 was 63.8%,51.2% respectively,and their expressions were not related to histological classification(P0.01);②Negative correlation was observed between the expression of Bax and that of Bcl-2 in NSCLC(P0.01).Conclusion The expression of Bax and Bcl-2 may participate in cell apoptosis and promote lung carcinogenesis and development in NSCLC.
