Abstract
The international carbon trading market has been witnessing a rapid development since Kyoto Protocol.Japan has taken advantage of the market mechanisms set by Kyoto Protocol to participate in the international carbon trading with noticeable achievements.Actually,Japan aims at multiple strategic objectives by means of carbon trading,to maximize its core political and economic interests.I argue that in the Post-Kyoto Era,Japan will play a more active role in carbon trading. In addition to the trading volume, more efforts will be made to expand the width and depth of carbon trading.
