Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical application of MRI FLAIR in the diagnosis of intracranial lesion. Methods Three hundred and seventy-eight cases of intracranial lesion were examined with GE 2.0T MRI scanner. All the patients were studied with T_1 weighted spin-echo sequence,T_2 weighted fast spin-echo sequence and FLAIR.Results Among these 378 cases,1601 lesions were found with FLAIR and 1175 lesions were found with T_2 weighted fast spin-echo sequence.T_1 of l600 ms could suppress cerebrospinal fluid signal effectively. Conclusion Between FLAIR and T_2 weighted fast spin-echo,FLAIR sequence is better to demonstrate the extent of the lesions and the contrast between lesions and normal brain tissue. The lesions in the brain are displayed on FLAIR sequence better than T_2 weighted fast spin-echo sequence.
