Effects of Losartan Combined with Fosinopril in Teatment of Diabetic Nephropathy

Objective To explore the effects of losartan combined with fosinopril on diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods Sixty patients with DN were randomly divided into three groups:group A with daily losartan treatment(100 mg),group B with daily fosinopril treatment(10 mg),group C with treatment with losartan(50 mg)and fosinopril(5 mg),the period of treatment for 5 months.Then the changes of mean arterial pressure,24 hours proteinuria,serum potassium,serum creatinine and urea nitrogen were observed and analyzed in three groups before and after treatment.Results All three groups significantly reduced mean arterial pressure and 24 hours proteinuria(P0.05).The reduction in proteinuria was greater in the combination therapy than in treatments of either drug alone(P0.05),but their reductions in mean arterial pressure were similar(P0.05).There were not significant differences in serum potassium,serum creatinine and urea nitrogen in three groups before and after treatment(P0.05),and no obvious adverse reactions were found except dry cough.Conclusion Losartan are combined with fosinopril in the treatment of DN,which will more effectively reduce the excretion of urine albumin,prevent the deeper damage of kidney and protect the kidney function.
