Three Principles of Philosophical Hermeneutics and Translation Studies

Hermeneutics is regarded as the science of understanding and interpretation. As the representative of modern hermeneutics in the west,Gadamer proposed three principles of Philosophical Hermeneutics:historicity of understanding,fusion of horizons,and effective history. The three principles provided us with new insights into translation studies,such as the co-existence of different versions of the same original literary work.
