Thought of Liu Xie's Nourishing Qi

The writer thinks that Liu Xie's Qi is a kind of natural Qi. His thought of nourishing Qi include two characteristics:the first is nourish one's vieal spirit and not over work; the second is that there is the different Qi among individuals, so one must respect them and improve the occasion. These two characteristics of Liu Xie's Qi are deeply analyzed in this paper. Then it is also deeply analyzed in this paper that the thought of Liu Xie's Qi is related to the historical background from the Han and Wei dynasty,to social fashion of nourishing Qi, and to the awakening of individual consciousness. Results show that up to now the thought of Liu Xie's Qi is still alive, and is worth studying and doing according to.
