Hanyu's Idea of Qi and the Powerful Qi in his Essays

Han Yu has been known for the powerful Qi between the lines of his essays. And the form of such powerful Qi serves as a result of his claim that essays should carry the way of heaven and words are more convincing with sufficient Qi. Han believed that sufficient Qi is more convincing than words, and took his initiative to cultivate his Qi by practicing Confucianism. Confucian principles were absorbed into his inner Qi, which would later come out into his essays as the powerful Qi.
