The investigation on the parameters of blood cells in healthy people in Yimeng mountains area

Objective To study the parameters of blood cells and establish their normal reference range of the healthy people in Yimeng mountains area. Methods Blood samples were taken from 7 389 healthy people of different sex,age and occupation,from different area of Linyi city.Red blood cell count(RBC),white blood cell count(WBC),hemoglobin(Hb),hemotocrit(HCT),mean corpuscular volume(MCV),mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH),mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration(MCHC),red blood cell volume distribution width(RDW),blood platelet count(PLT),platelet distribution width(PDW),mean platelt volume(MCV),plateletcrit(PCT),neutrophil(MEUT),lymphocyte(LYMPH),monocyte(MONO),eosinophil(EO),basophil(BASO) were determined with the Sysmex XE-2100 automatic blaod analyzer.The data were analyzed by the software of SPSS10.00 for Windows. Results Most of our data of blood cells parameters in adult were similar to those reported in Beijing,Shanghai and Guangdong area,while some data were different.The counts of RBC,Hb and haematocrit(HCT) were a little less than those in Beijing,but similar to those in Shanghai and Guangdong.The parameters of MCV,PLT were lower than those in Shanghai and Guangdong,but similar to Beijing.The parameters of WBC were higher than those in Beijing and Shanghai,but similar to Guangdong. Conclusions The differences of sex,age and living area may effect the level of some blood cells parameters.It is necessary to establish related reference values.
