STUDIES ON THE GLIRES(RODENTIA AND LAGOMORPHA)FAUNA AND ITS DIVISION OF HENAN PROVINCE

There were only several reports and works on the glires(Rodentia and Lagomorpha)fauna of Henan province.During 4,1994～2,1995,the author had taken some important investigation and inquiry at some specific locations such as Lingbao,Xinxians,Zhenping,Tongbai,Shangcheng,Gushi,Luoshan,Jiyuan,Huaiyang.The author also examined some specimen which stored by some relative Units. Up to now,adds the records in reference materials,the glires in Henan province are 7 Family,4 Subfamily, 32 Species.The main studies on these glires are as follows:1.Analysed the characteristics of Henan glires fauna.The ratios of Palaearctic realm members,Oriental realm members and Widely spreaded members are respectively 59.4%,31.3%,9.4%.2.Gave a comparison of glires components of Henan and its adjacent regions.3.Gave a namelist and geographical distribution of glires of Henan province.4.According to the relative principles of zoogeographical division,the glires of Henan province can be divided into 6 Ⅲ-order provinces and 8 Ⅳ-order states,follows as:Ⅰ.West-north Henan Taihang mountain forest province ⅠA.West-north Henan Taihang mountain forest state Ⅱ.West Henan yellow earth plateau crop province ⅡA.West Henan yellow earth plateau crop state Ⅲ.East and north Henan plain and Nanyang basin crop provinceⅢ A.North Henan plain crop stateⅢB.East Henan plain crop stateⅢ c.Nanyang basin crop stateⅣ.West llenan Funiu mountain forest provinceⅣA.West Henan Funiu mountain forest stateⅤ.South Huai River flooded plain crop provinceⅤA.South Huai River flooded plain crop state Ⅵ.South Henan Tongbai-Dabie forest province ⅥA.South Henan Tongbai-Dabie forest state Based on the study on the glires fauna of Henan province,this paper suggests:1.The Nanyang basin stlould be belonged to North China Region in China zoogeographical divis ion, namely 9 the Palearctic realm in world zoogeographical division.2.West Henan Funiu mountain and other branches of east Q niling mountain shouldbe whole belonged to the Oriental realm in world zoogeographical division.3.The transitional boundary at Henan province between North and Middle China fauna(Palearctic realm and Oriental realm)should be described as:attached to Qinlingmountain in west and along the northern and eastern edge of Funiu mountain,then,around the Nanyang basin,finally,along the main stream of Huai River to the border of Henan province.
