Abstract

Objective To understand the contamination status of Listeria monocytogenes in food in Jianggan District.Method By the consideration of the national standard method and the imported chromogenic culture medium,Listeria monocytogenes were separated from 4 kinds of foods, and biochemical identification and serological identification were made. Results 15 (13.8%) strains of Listeria monocytogenes were isolated from 109 samples. The contamination rates detected in raw meats、raw fruits and vegetables were 36.8% and 5.9%, respectively. Listeria monocytogenes was not detected in cooked meats and aquatic products. The 15 Listeria monocytogenes belonged to 2 serum types, among them, 1/2b serum type accounting for 73.3%,1/2a serum type accounting for 26.7%.Conclusion Foods in Jianggan district of Hangzhou city were contaminated by Listeria monocytogenes, particularly in raw meats. The supervision and administration on food quality should be strengthened.
