Study on Fujian Academies in Song Dynasty

Abstract

Fujian academies were prosperous during the period of Song Dynasty.Statistics about the number of academies in Fujian area in Song Dynasty were done by many scholars,but the data varies greatly.By defining lectures as the main criterion for judging an academy,and employing Fujian Administrative division in Song Dynasty as unit,the author starts a research into the number and founding time of those academies,also their founders in Song Dynasty,then analyzes the prosperity reasons and influence about Fujian academies.
