Application of seminars in teaching of clinical ophthalmology for 7-year program

There are some characteristics in teaching for students of seven-year program,such as heavy burden in learning,limited practice time and higher demands in clinical subjects.These students have some advantages,such as quick thinking,high level of English,good foundation.The seminars have been applied in teaching of clinical ophthalmology for these students.The ability of reading and summarizing medical literature and the level of research logical thinking of these students have improved.After the teaching,most of the students have comprehended the needed knowledge and known about the advance and focus of the research.The experiences of the application of seminars in teaching of clinical ophthalmology are also discussed in this paper.
