Abstract
The service model provided by the Internet is the best-effort model, without guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS). One of the key issues of constructing an IP telecom network is how to assure QoS. The article introduces some popular QoS mechanisms supposed by the industry, such as Integrated Service (InterServ), Differentiated Service, Multiple Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), LAN QoS, etc., as well as a pragmatic QoS server architecture.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
