The Study on the Application of QoS Technology in IP Network

Abstract

IP QoS is one of the key issues in the study of IP technology at present. This paper introduces several QoS techniques including Integrated Services, Differentiated Services, MPLS and the combination of Integrated Services and Differentiated Services, then the application of QoS technology of MPLS which is now popular is described. Furthermore, the limits of IP QoS technology at present is presented and finally a conclusion is made that the combination of different QoS technologies is a possible trend.
