Abstract

ZThe unremitting pursuance for passing an imperial examination had been an important part of the writings written by the scholars since Sui and Tang Dynasty when the imperial examinations system was set up.It was exerted incisively and vividly in novels during Ming and Qing Dynasty.The article tries to probe into the complex in imperial examinations of scholars in novels during Ming and Qing Dynasty and the cause of the phenomenon.
