Clinical Observation on 60 Cases of Pediatric Mycoplasma Pneumonia Treated with Integrative Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of integrative traditional Chinese and western medicine in treating pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia.Methods One hundred and twenty patients were divided randomly into the treatment group(n=60) and the control group(n=60).The treatment group was treated by erythromycin together with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) according to syndrome differention.The control group was treated only by erythromycin.The treatment course was 14 days.Results The clinical cure rate of the treatment group was 93.33% while that of the control group was 70.00%.There was a significant difference between two groups(P0.05).The recovery time of fever and cough in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion The therapy of integrative traditional Chinese and western medicine can ameliorate symptom and sign of the patients obviously and improve the clinical effect.
