Abstract
The straw frozen semen of Blue-White beaf cattle introduced into Huzhu county was used to improve Qinghai yellow cattle in 2002.The 133 crossbreeding cattle of Qinghai yellow cattle crossed with Blue-White beaf cattle were reproduced in 2003.The average birth weight of crossbreeding cattle was 37.51kg,and increased 150.60% than that of Qinghai yellow cattle(15.00kg).The body weight at the age of six and twelve months of crossbreeding catthe was 133.82kg and 262.27kg,and increased 148.27% and 185.70% than that of contemporary Qinghai yellow cattle resp.There was a sighificant crossbreeding effect and move strong hybrid vigor expressed in the crossbreeding cattle.
