Abstract

To improve the production performance of Xizang Yellow Cattle,Embryo transplantation of Holstein or Bulls of Beef breeds were introduced to Shigatse district to crossbreed with local yellow cattle.Economic benefit of improved yellow cattle was significant.Milk yield of improved cows increased 1000%,economic income per improved cows was higher than that of local yellow cattle for $1 775 and one year and half shorter to produce milk.
