Abstract
Polyethylene/Polyethylene modified with maleic anhydride /Montmorillonite (PE/ PEMA//MMT) nano - composites are synthesized by melt intercalation. The influence of different MMT content on mechanic properties, thermal properties and barrierproperties upon organic solvent were studied and the microstructure of the composites is investigated by using X -ray diffraction (XRD). Results of XRD showed that the chain of PE are intercalated into the galleries of MMT. It is found that tensile strength increased by nearly 13.5% and thermal properties, barrier properties of the composites are also enhanced.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
