Abstract
This paper attempts to analyze the relationships between metaphor and cultural cognition.Metaphor is an important way of linguistic expression;cultures and values of different nationalities find their way in metaphorical thinking.Based on similar cultural cognition,there are similar metaphorical concepts,and because of some different factors in Chinese and British cultures,there are different metaphorical concepts and expressions in the two languages.
