Determination of Borneol in Saimeian heamorrhoids suppository by GC

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To develop a GC method for determination of Borneol in haemorrhoids suppository.METHODS Using methylsalicylate as inter-standard,the content of borneol was assayed by capillary column.RESULTS The linear range of borneol was 0.414~3.726μg(r=0.9999).The average recovery of borneol was 96.13% with RSD of 0.52%(n=6).CONCLUSION This method is simple,accurate and reproducible.It can be used for the assay of borneol in Saimeian heamorrhoids suppository.
