An Educational Function of Information Literacy in University Library

A university library is characterized by the advantages of rich collection in library,the quiet learning environment,the adequate personnel advantages and the advanced information technology,which provides conditions for the education of information literacy of university students.The education of information literacy is an important part of library functions,and university libraries should strengthen the management of information-literacy education,enhance the information awareness of university students,create a good environment for the information-literacy education,improve the retrieval,organization and analysis abilities of information literacy of university students and carry out various forms of information literacy education based on the strengthening of quality education of librarians and the support of hardware and software,so as to improve the information literacy of the university students.
