Abstract

Under water stress by polyethylene glycol-6000(PEG-6000),the changes of MDA content and activity of antioxidant ezymes(CAT,POD and SOD)was analyzed by control(0% PEG)and treatment(10% PEG)on Longshu No.3 and Atlantic of the solanum tuberosum L.tissue-cultured seedling. The results showed that, the activities of SOD,POD,CAT and MDA content of potato increased during the prophase of water stress;they attain peak value seperately after certain extent time, subsequently MDA content and activity of antioxidant enzymes such as CAT,POD,SOD began to declined;after water stress had been released, the activities of CAT,POD,and SOD ascended again, but MDA content declined. The two cultivars expressed different sensitivity to water stress during the whole process of stress.
