Abstract

ge,ri,song,qiu,pu,hu,heiare specific prefixes in J in dialect.The prefixgerepresentssmallin Jin dialect of Shanxi province, but in Shaanbei dialect,it does not carry this grammatical meaning.It only funct ions as a soundmark.Prefixesri、songcan represent both meaning and sound,but the semantic meaning is becoming weak while soundmark function is becoming stro ng.
