Abstract
Using high speed pin-disk friction and wear mechanism, the friction and wear resistance properties of a new guide pulley material were studied, under the condition of variable load and speed. The results show that the wear rate increases with the increasing of load and wear speed; the friction coefficient decreases with the increasing of the load and wear speed; In this experiment, the wear mechanisms are mainly abrasive wear and fatigue wear, the mechanisms have tendency that abrasive wear transforms to fatigue wear as the addition of wear velocity and load applied.
