Abstract

Objective To study the diagnostic value of mammography and color Doppler ultrasound in early breast cancer and to evaluate their diagnostic accuracy. Methods Forty-five patients with breast cancer and 20 patients with benign breast masses, proved pathologically, were checked by mammography, color Doppler ultrasound. Results Mammography demonstrated breast cancer in 40 cases, the sensitivity and specificity were 84.5% and 90.0%,respectively,with the accuracy of 86.2%;Color Doppler ultrasound revealed breast cancer 38 cases, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 77.8%,85.0%and 80.0%;When ultrasound and mammography were combined together, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 91.2%,90.0% and 90.8%.Conclusion Mammography combined with color Doppler ultrasound can increase the diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy of early breast cancers.
