Abstract
Objective To study the influence of soybean diet on the serum lipoiod metabolism in ovariectomized rats. Methods SD ovariectomized rats, weight 180g±, were randomly divided into five groups: control group ovariectomized,(no estrogen injection and no soybean diet), estrogen injection group, three soybean diet groups (low dose of soybean diet , middle dose of soybean diet and high dose of soybean diet , there are 8 rats in each group. Another 8 non-operation rats work as the positive control group. After ten weeks′ test, the rats were sacrificed, and uterus and adipose of abdomen were weighted. Totalcholesterol(TC), Triglycerides (TG), LDL, and HDL in the serum were measured. Results The level of TC and LDL in the serum of ovariectomized rats increased significantly, compared with that in control group and high dose of soybean diet group. The level of TG in the serum of control group ovariectomized rats decrease significantly, compared with that in non-operation group, high dose of soybean diet group and estrogen injection group. Although relative uterus weights in L- M- and h- dose of soybean diet groups were all higher than that in operation group, they were lower than that in the non-operation control group. Those norm in estrogen injection group were not different, compared with that in non-operation control group. Conclusions soybean diet could decrease the TC and LDL of serum in ovariectomized rats and had significantly improve on lipoprotein metabolism.
