Abstract
An investigation and analysis was carried out on the species and the number of avifauna in Hunan Academy of Forestry by fixed-point observation.The result showed that the 44 species of birds which belonged to 4 orders,11 families were recorded.Among them,25 species were resident birds,9 species were summer migratory birds,8 species were winter migratory birds and 2 were travelers.The bird diversity and community characteristics fluctuated with the season change.The number of individuals reached the peak in winter for the influence of the migrant,and fell to the minimum in summer.
