Abstract
Interlanguage is a language system which is different from L\-1 and L\-2 system. It is a product of a mentalist theory of language learning. Interlanguage has 4 typical characteristics,namely, interlanguage is permeable, dynamic, systematic and interlanguage has the character of variability. Through analyzing the characters of interlanguage, we will know the nature of interlanguage,which has great influence on English teaching.
