Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish a method for determination of emodin and chrysophanol in Shierwei Baixiao capsules.METHODS The samples were extracted by supersonic with methanol.RP-HPLC analysis was carried out on Hypersil ODS_2 C_(18) column and the mixture of methanol-0.1%H_3PO_4(85∶15)was used as the mobile phase. The detection wavelength was at 254 nm.RESULTS The standard curve was linear within the range of 1.7-8.4 μg for emodin and 1.6~8.2 μg for chrysophanol. The average recovery of emodin was 99.3% with RSD of 0.8%,with that of chrysophanol was 99.3% with RSD of 0.9%.CONCLUSION The method is sensitive, accurate and specific and can be used for the determination of emodin and chrysopanol in Shierwei Baixiao capsule.
