Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical value of combined detection of tumor markers CEA,CAl9-9 in the diagnosis of gastric cancer,so as to improve the diagnostic accuracy of gastric cancer. Methods: Serum levels of CEA,CA19-9 in 50 healthy subjects(healthy control group) and 50 patients with gastric cancer(gastric cancer group) were measured. Results: The serum levels of CEA and CA19-9 were significantly higher in gastric cancer group than that in healthy control group(t=13.197,9.527,P0.05).The sensitivity and specificity of single marker detection for CEA was 63.2% and 52.4%,for CA19-9 it was 73.7% and 61.9%.For combined detection of the two tumor markers(CEA+CAl9-9) sensitivity and specificity was 86.4% and 90.0%,respectively.The sensitivity of combined detection was superior to that of single detection.Correlation analysis showed maternal antibody titers CEA and CA19-9 levels was positively correlated(r=0.346,P0.05).Conclusion: Combined detection of CEA and CA19-9 levels may provide reliable evidence for the diagnosis of gastric cancer suggesting that CEA+CA19-9 detection can be adopted in the clinical test.
