Application of SMA,Desmin,CD10 and Vimentin in the Diagnosis of the Special Type of Uterine Tumors

Abstract

[Purpose] To investigate the value of application of SMA,Desmin,CD10 and Vimentin to the diagnosis for special type of uterine tumors.[Methods] Seventy-six cases with special type of uterine tumors were enrolled,including 20 cases with endometrial stromal sarcoma(ESS),17 cases with carcinosarcoma,10 cases with leiomyosarcoma of uterus(LMS),16 cases with atypical leiomyoma,and 13 cases with epithelioid leiomyoma.The expression of SMA,Desmin,CD10 and Vimentin was detected by SP immunohistochemistry.[Results] CD10 and Vimentin were over expression in ESS and carcinosarcoma.SMA and Desmin were over expression in atypical leiomyoma and epithelioid leiomyoma.Vimentin was over expression in LMS.[Conclusion] SMA,Desmin,CD10 and Vimentin play an important role in the diagnosis for special type of uterine tumors.
