Abstract

Rocky desertification has become one of the most serious ecological environment problems for Karst area.Taking Guizhou Province where the rocky desertification is the most serious in South China as the research object,the rocky desertification change characteristics under the ecological treatment and rocky desertification controlling project since 2000 were studied.Data shows that rocky desertification of Guizhou was 36473km2 in 2010,and increased 1677km2 in 2000~2005,increased 335.4km2 every year;from 2005 to 2010,the rocky desertification area reduced 1126km2,annual change rate was-0.6%;rocky desertification of Guizhou increase trend had reversed,rocky desertification controlling project initial effect had appeared.The internal changes of desertification mainly concentrated in adjacent grades,and had not grade jump change in a short period of time,matrix transformation occurred mainly in the lower grade of rocky desertification,intense desertification change area was the smallest,demonstrating that the higher rocky desertification grade is more difficult to treat.
