Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of IMRT and conventional radiotherapy on cervical ccancer. Methods 50 cases of cervical cancer were divided into treatment group(25 cases) treated with IMRT and control group(25 cases) treated with conventional external beam irradiation combined intracavitary. All patients were evaluated with the clinical efficacy, safety observation and the quality of life. Results The total effective was 100% in both goups. There was significant difference of rectal reaction and bone marrow suppression between the two groups(P 0.05),and there were no statistically significant difference of bladder reactions and skin lesions in two groups(P 0.05).After treatment, the overall quality of life in patients with the treatmeat group was significantly higher, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusions IMRT and intracavitary radiotherapy is similar to the overall curative effect. There was no difference in statistically significant, but the treatment group can reduce the incidence of rectal and reduce the incidence of bone marrow suppression, improve the quality of life of patients. The IMRT is a effect treatment way for the cervical cancer.
