An Empirical Analysis of Investment Efficiency of China's Culture Industry

Abstract

This paper applies the DEA static comparison and the nonparametric Malmquist index dynamic analysis to give a comprehensive evaluation of the investment efficiency of China's culture industry.The results show:the technical efficiency is low in China,with an average index of 0.641,which still can be improved by 35%;low technical efficiency is mainly attributed to low pure technical efficiency;TFP in central and western regions has a rising trend and is maily resulted from technology progress;the negative growth of TFP in the eastern regions is mainly caused by technology setback.
