Mental Health Status Among Middle School Students of She Nationality

Abstract

Objective To study the mental health of middle school students of She nationality, and to provide basis for mental health education among minority nationality students.Methods Students of She nationality were selected by using the stratified cluster sampling method and then tested with SCL-90. The students of Han nationality in the same area were taken as the control.Results Significant differences were found in the factors of depression and phobia between the students of Han and She. The mental health of students of She had no significant differences among six grades.Conclusion Mental problems of She nationality are more than those of Han. So, mental health guidance and prevention should be conducted according to their mental traits.
