Research Progress in Rice Breeding for Super Hgh Yield

Rice is the most important food crop,stable increase of rice yield is significant for food security.In the case of decreasing of arable land,to increase yield per unit area is the only way to achieve production,super-high yield breeding is the primary topics for agricultural scientists.This paper reviewed rice super-high yield breeding research,illustrated the theory and methods of rice super-high yield breeding such as new plant type creation and heterosis utilization,and specified the research direction of rice super-high yield in the future.
