Abstract
High mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1) is a highly conserved, ubiquitous protein present in the nuclei and cytoplasm. Physiological state of HMGB1 plays a role of nuclear binding protein. Once released into the gap, then show the role of late inflammatory factors. Recent studies have shown that HMGB1 also has the role of injury signal factor, cells and stem cell chemotactic adsorptive factor. As the advanced glycation end product receptor exist wide, HMGB1 play an important role in variety of diseases, organ damage, repair process.
