Abstract

Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) has been applied in imaging of abdominal viscera increasingly. Dynamic contrast enhanced-MRI(DCE-MRI), a functional imaging technique, is gradually applied to kidney disease. Unenhanced MRI is better to show lesion morphology and composition which qualitative diagnosis of unenhanced MRI mainly depended on. DCE-MRI plays an important role to provide additional disease information based on regular MRI. In this paper, we reviewed the characteristics of unenhanced MRI in different types of renal cell carcinoma and its disadvantages, and described diagnosis and differential diagnosis of renal carcinoma by DCE-MRI qualitative analysis, semi-quantitative and quantitative analysis, and emphasized DCE-MRI principle, reprocessing and clinical application of renal cell carcinoma.
