Xiao, whistling, is a kind of music which has a long historical tradition and typical national characteristic. Fu on Xiao written by Cheng Gongsui, a famous Fu writer in Jin dynasty, is a famous Fu describing the music of Xiao which is quite popular in Wei and Jin dynasties. From this Fu, we can see what Xiao, this ancient music, is like and the musical aesthetic thinking, including nature, elegance and harmony.
